The Hong Kong Eco-Business Awards was first established in 1999 to promote environmental management and green operations and practices in the business sector. It has been incorporated as part of the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence in early 2008.
Background information of Hong Kong Eco-Business Awards
It was designed to to honour businesses in Hong Kong that are committed to environmental management and to educate organisations in the benefits of environmental management. It was led by Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) with collaboration with Business Environment Council (BEC), the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC), the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC), Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Environmental Protection Department (EPD).
