The Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE) aims to encourage businesses and organizations to adopt green management, and to present participants with an opportunity to benchmark and recognize their commitment to environmental protection.
HKAEE is a successful merger of various government-invitated environmental schemes, namely the Hong Kong Eco-Business Awards, the Wastewi$e Scheme and the Hong Kong Energy Efficiency Awards. By merging and extending these schemes, it will optimize the use of resources and serve as an integrated scheme to the wider business community.
BEC's flagship Hong Kong Eco-Products Awards has also been incorporated into the HKAEE as the Eco-Product Label. BEC has been appointed by the Environmental Campaign Committee as one of the two consultants responsible for the preparation of the assessment guidelines as well as technical assessments of the HKAEE participants.

automatically entered into the Sectoral SME Award competition in the sector which they submit their

Benefits
The awardees of the Environmental Labels, the Carbon“Less” Certificates and the winners of the Sectoral Awards will:

be entitled to use the labels or the year-specific award icons for promotional and publicity purposes (for Environmental Labels and Sectoral Awards);

be granted the Carbon“Less” Certificates (for Carbon“Less” Certificates scheme); and
-
have opportunities to share the organizations’ environmental achievements and experiences at public events.
