Sustainable Built Environment forms an integral part of our focus areas at BEC. Our diversity of programs seeks to:
- harness industry efforts towards sustainable built environment by engaging key stakeholders
- provide an information resource for Hong Kong building community, professionals and the public
- initiate, facilitate and collaborate in research, partnership and dissemination programmes
BEAM Green Building Labeling has been one of the key initiatives of BEC for more than 10 years. BEC serves as the Secretariat of the BEAM Society and BEC's assessors are the only qualified BEAM assessor in Hong Kong. BEC has also set up CIRIA Bookshop, Indoor Air Quality Solutions Centre, Sustainable Built Environment Committee as part of the leading force to promote sustainable building. We also offer energy management services for all businesses.
