"The Business Environment Council set up the Climate Change Business Forum for Hong Kong’s most astute business leaders to collaborate on tackling climate change. It has become a platform for businesses to pioneer Hong Kong’s transition to a low carbon economy" Dr. Andrew Thomson, CEO, Business Environment Council

The Climate Change Business Forum (CCBF) is an initiative of the Business Environment Council. Started in 2008, CCBF convenes Hong Kong’s most astute business leaders to temper the effects of climate change. CCBF commissions research, communicates risks and opportunities, share best practices and promotes practical actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

CCBF brings together industry leaders from diverse sectors such as power and energy, transport, property and construction, and financial services. Our patrons Cathay Pacific, Hang Lung Properties, HSBC, Sino Group and Standard Chartered, work with our gold members on three committees which run the forum. The Climate Change Business Forum aims to:

  • Persuade the business community to take concrete steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
  • Communicate opportunities and risks associated with climate change that will impact business and society
  • Produce actionable research for and share best practices throughout the business community
