Wings Trading (HK) Co Ltd (Wings) was established in 1980 and its core businesses include trading of open products, original equipment manufacturing (OEM) products, own design manufacturing (ODM) products and own brand manufacturing (OBM) products.


Commitment to Environmental Protection
Wings implements many simple yet effective measures to reduce its impact on the environment, such as using electronic filing and encouraging double-sided printing and photocopying to reduce paper consumption. It has also divided the office into different lighting and temperature control zones in order to maximize energy efficiency and reduce unnecessary waste. Guidance is also provided to suppliers on how to enhance their environmental performance.

Excellence in Employee Management
Besides subsidizing employees to take part in various on-the-job and external training, Wings conducts analysis on skill requirements in order to assess the training needs of individual employees. It also encourages staff to maintain a work-life balance by organising different recreational activities. Wings established a Work and Life Balance Scheme earlier this year to provide subsidies to employees for their family travel.

Achievements in Community Development
"We believe that it is our blessing to be able to contribute to society," said Benson Pau. Wings is actively involved in community services and it supports a number of charities helping children and teenagers, such as the Pau Kwong Wun Charitable Foundation, by providing materials and financial aid. The company also provides placement opportunities for childhood cancer survivors and students of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE).

Wings has joined the SME Mentorship Programme to share its management experience with counterparts and other SME entrepreneurs. "We hope that we can contribute to uplifting the operating standards of the whole industry through our sharing," Mr Pau said.
