Membership
HBF has a broad-based membership that comes from a wide range of business sectors including professional institutions and services organisations. Eleven leading corporations have joined an initial group of founding patrons and committed funds to make the Forum a reality. To date 122 companies and organisations have joined as Corporate, Professional and Supporting Members.
Efforts: Research, Outreach and Events
Since HBF’s launch in June 2005, HBF has many achievements to its credit including producing a solid programme of research that contributes to the harbour debate and is used a tool to communicate with the wider community about present and future developments in respect to the harbour. HBF has also hosted meetings that have enabled officials and others to meet experts on the harbour and planning related issues with wide-ranging experience. This is useful educational work. We have also organized a design competition, harbour walks, support Hong Kong's Harbour Day and other activities that promote harbour issues.
