BEC spreads its wings of operation across the border in 2007 to advocate sustainability in mainland China. The mission of this includes:
- To promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) culture and knowledge to entrepreneurs and their enterprises in China through education, public governance advocacy and economic potentials ;
- To promote clean production, with particular interest in energy savings and green supply chain, to abate environmental quality as well as enhance enterprises' comparative competitiveness ;
- To promote green business opportunities with special emphasis on Clean and Renewable Energy, Environment Friendly Materials and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects.
