Business Environment Council Limited (BEC) was formed in 2000, as a result of a merger of Private Sector Committee on the Environment (PSCE) and Centre for Environmental Technology (CET).
BEC is a membership based and non-profit distribution company, incorporated under Hong Kong Companies Ordinance (Chapter 32) and limited by guarantee without share capital. BEC’s financial reports are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and accounting principles generally accepted in Hong Kong. BEC's financial year ends 30 September each year. The audited financial statements were filed to Hong Kong Company Registry and are available for public reference.
