Launched in 2004, HSBC Living Business (www.hsbc.com.hk/livingbusiness), is a program organized by the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) and with Business Environment Council (BEC) as technical advisor and award assessor, aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to become more competitive and productive by implementing socially and environmentally responsible practices.
The HSBC Living Business Program consists of:
- An award program that encourages local SMEs to adopt socially and environmentally responsible practices and recognizes SMEs who have already made contribution to the environment and community in Hong Kong to sustain long-term business success.
- An HSBC Living Business Ambassador scheme for past award winners to share their successful experiences with other SMEs, and to promote the program to their business partners.
- A series of FREE seminars that provide SMEs with professional advice about sustainable business practices
- An informative website (www.hsbc.com.hk/livingbusiness) that provides updated and practical information on a range of CR issues.
