2006 Hong Kong Eco-Product Award Calls for Entries
The Only Products-based programme in Hong Kong to Recognize Groundbreaking Environmental Product Innovation
Hong Kong Eco-Products Award, the Award is the only program of its kind in Hong Kong to promote and recognize environmental responsibility on a product basis, is now open for entries. You are cordially invited you to attend the Launch cum Press Conference to be held on 15 February 06. Led by the Business Environment Council (BEC), co-organised by The Chinese Manufacturer’s Association of Hong Kong, The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, The Federation of Hong Kong Industries, and The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, the Award assessment criteria are tailored to address the product life-cycle of design, maufacture, packaging and transportation, use and disposal.
Globally it has become an increasingly prevalent theme in public policy as well as corporate life. WEEE and RoHS have been the most concerned topics among the industries. Many businesses have already embraced and implemented environmental stewardship initiatives in their daily operations. It is timely to launch the Award to help promote the importance of, as well as recognize and reward the best environmental practices.
The Launch cum Press Conference will be held on 15 February (Wednesday) 14:30, at the Auditorium, G/F, Jockey Club Environmental Building, 77 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It will introduce the Award and address green consumerism, the significance of green products and their benefits to consumers, businesses and the environment.
