  • Organization Profile
  • The Airport Authority Hong Kong (the Authority) is a statutory body that holds a mandate to maximise the value of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for the benefit of Hong Kong. Wholly owned by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the Authority was established in 1995 to operate and maintain HKIA, with an emphasis on enhancing Hong Kong's status as a major centre of international and regional aviation. The Authority applies an entrepreneurial approach to developing HKIA into a preferred regional aviation hub and an engine of growth for Hong Kong's economy.

  • Environment and Sustainability Highlights
  • The Authority is committed to the long term sustainable growth of HKIA and the sustainable development of Hong Kong. Care for the environment is a fundamental core value and in seeking to maximise the value of HKIA for Hong Kong, we seek to achieve best industry practice in environmental and public health management. The Authority is working to achieve best practice through the identification and prioritisation of key risk areas, the assignment of specific management responsibility, supported by a system of goal setting and performance monitoring in a cycle of continual improvement.
