In recent years, Hong Kong’s energy development has increasingly focused on achieving net-zero power generation and enhancing the share of renewable energy, aligning with the national "3060 Dual Carbon Targets" as we strive towards carbon neutrality. Meanwhile, Mainland China’s new energy industry is rapidly advancing, with technologies such as new energy vehicles and battery storage becoming more mature, and hence being gradually adopted in the market.
Business Environment Council (“BEC”) will be organising the energy transition tour to Nanjing and Liyang, Jiangsu between 13 and 16 October 2025. Together with CLP (中電), Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited, CATL (寧德時代), SuperPanther (江蘇速豹動力), State Grid Electric Power Research Institute (Nanjing Automation Research Institute, “NARI”) (國網電科院(南瑞集團)), Nanjing Innovation Centre for Environmental Protection (南京環保產業創新中心), CASOL Energy (中科固能), National Industrial Innovation Center of Intelligent Equipment (智能無人裝備產業創新中心) and Shui On Land (瑞安房地產), the tour will explore the latest developments in new energy, intelligent electric trucks and advanced battery storage in these two cities, fostering deeper exchanges and collaboration in power technology and environmental protection.
