Business Environment Council Limited (“BEC”) held its latest CEO Dialogue on 14 October 2026, focusing on the theme “Moving Beyond Mobility: Building a Resilient and Inclusive Future”. The dialogue featured guest speaker Ms Jeny Yeung, JP, Chief Executive Officer of MTR Corporation, alongside Mr Simon Ng, Chief Executive Officer of BEC. The two leaders exchanged insights on innovative sustainability strategies and business practices, exploring how lessons from the transport sector can help organisations foster more resilient and inclusive communities.
Mr Simon Ng said, “As Hong Kong enters a new phase of development under its First Five-Year Plan, there is increasing emphasis on building a greener, more resilient and inclusive city. Through the lens of mobility, this edition of CEO Dialogue highlighted practical approaches to decarbonisation, climate resilience and social inclusion that organisations can apply within their own operations while contributing to Hong Kong’s broader sustainability transition.”
Ms Jeny Yeung said, “As sustainability becomes an increasingly important business imperative, organisations must integrate environmental and social considerations into their decision-making and operations. During the dialogue, Ms Jeny Yeung shared perspectives on low-carbon transport and emissions reduction, accessible mobility as a driver of social inclusion, climate-resilient infrastructure and communities, and the importance of cross-sector collaboration among government, business and community stakeholders in advancing a sustainable and inclusive future.
