Over 200 Delegates Join BEC EnviroSeries Conference on Low Carbon Recovery from COVID-19

Hong Kong, 9 July 2020 - Business Environment Council Limited 商界環保協會有限公司 (“BEC”) held its flagship event, the EnviroSeries Conference yesterday (8 July) at The Mira Hong Kong. Entitled “Business Sustainability in the midst of Disruption, Turbulence and Recovery”, the Conference brought together over 200 business leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and academics who are keen and ready to push for an innovative, low carbon approach to recover from the lows of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Mr Richard Lancaster, Chairman of Business Environment Council, highlighted the tough challenges, extended risks but also new-found opportunities faced by businesses in such difficult time, and how corporate leaders are building resilience and adaptability into their business planning and operations for long-term sustainability.

At the Conference, speakers and panelists deliberated several key topics including the challenge of decarbonisation after COVID-19, the pressing need to invest in the resilience and wellness of our city, the quest for a future-ready workforce that can rise to the challenges and respond to the opportunities in the transition towards a low carbon economy, and how the boardroom and investors can lead the way in low carbon recovery.
