  • Established in 1995, Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) is a statutory body wholly-owned by the Hong Kong SAR Government and governed by the Airport Authority Ordinance (Chapter 483, The Laws of Hong Kong). Guided by the Ordinance and the objective of maintaining Hong Kong’s competitiveness as a global and regional aviation hub, AAHK is responsible for the provision, operation, development and maintenance of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), and the provision of facilities, amenities or industry at or from any place on the airport island, and other airport-related activities as permitted by the Airport Authority (Permitted Airport-related Activities) Order (Cap. 483E).

  • AAHK’s sustainability vision is to strengthen HKIA’s ability to operate and grow profitably in a changing and challenging economic, ecological, technological and social environment, while developing a robust culture of sustainability throughout the organisation. AAHK adopts an airport-wide approach to work closely with its business partners, suppliers and contractors, passengers, the local community, regulators and other stakeholders to accelerate the rate of environmental footprint reduction across HKIA.
