Following Chief Executive John Lee’s first Policy Address on 19 October 2022, BEC will organise an event for members to facilitate dialogue with the Government. On policies relating to the environment, the Government is stepping up their commitment to promote energy efficiency and green transport, as well as strengthening the legislation on waste reduction and recycling, such as the bill in early 2023 to regulate single-use plastic products. The Government will also re-organise and form the Council for Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development to offer advice on decarbonisation strategies.
BEC is pleased to have Miss Diane Wong, Under Secretary for Environment and Ecology as our guest of honour. Miss Diane Wong will give an overview of the ongoing and new environmental initiatives and will also participate in discussions with BEC Members and Board Directors.
As seats are limited, each BEC Member can register up to two participants for the event, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register HERE to reserve your seat(s).
